Harley & Davidson 1914147 viewsI came across this picture of the Founders, taken in 1914. It is probably been posted here already, if so, I apologise for the duplication.
And then I did some googling to get their dates of birth to see how old they would have been in 1914 (Harley, 33; Davidson 34). When I saw the pictures of each alongside their biographies, I thought that the men in the 1914 picture did not look much like the biography photos.

Harley 1911 Photo663 viewsThe photo was sent to me by a friend whose Great Grandfather is the fellow in the center. Here is the information i received: The photo was taken on the Chicago and Western Indiana RR, most likely on the south side of Chicago. The Velocipede is a Sheffield model 1.
My question is, what model harley and what year is the bike? I can make out the leather drive pully on the rear wheel so it must be a very early model.
