Original 1945 Beehive Tailight427 viewsThe original light and all of its components except screws and gaskets (thanks OldDude). I left the pits in the cover but filled all holes that were rusted through, it matches the rest of the LE sidecar that it came off of, same patina. The original glass lenses cleaned up nicely, the top of the red lens has Harley Davidson cast into it but the gasket covers that up once assembled (darn). At least you can still read the Harley-Davidson in the top of the cover. And, IT WORKS, with a new 1158 bulb in the original socket.FlatHeadSixNov 30, 2010

The original 1945 Lights, Beehive & Fender Lamp481 viewsI decided to try and save the original lights, the Beehive is the original, the bulb socket is for an 1158 bulb with the pin lugs straight across from each other. Bottom of the cover was full of rust holes but sealed up fine with some epoxy, the fender lamp base was also VERY rusted but it cleaned up and will hold a bulb again, it has a couple of rust-throughs but I parkerized it after bead blasting and painted it with epoxy enamel, IT WORKS TOO!FlatHeadSixNov 16, 2010
