1959 prototype

Picture of a 1959 prototype from forum member Chris Haynes' collection of factory photos. The bike is equipped with Chrome Finish Group #F-1 plus the optional Deluxe solo seat.

Notice the trumpet horn. Notice the steering damper (special-ordered). Notice the taillight lens practically ends flush with the lens door but the lens on the red bike stands proud of the lens door because it is the style used for 1969--early-73 (it could be H-D or it could be AM). The starter crank on the red bike appears to be AM. And I'd like to see a close-up of the starter cover on the red bike because it looks like an earlier style.
