Greetings All:
After taking off the cam cover and looking around, discovered that the inner cam bearing was damaged. Can this bearing be removed and reinstalled without splitting the cases? No other damage was apparent but I want to remedy this before I go further. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

Too much chance of getting foreign material in the bearings, to try and do it in place. It's easy enough to pull the old one, and press a new one in. Now you have to redrill and pin the new one in place. Then, ream to size. Think of all the metal shavings that will get into the crankcase. Not practical.

Re: Inner cam bearing damaged
Jack-Thanks for the advice. This may be a ridiculous question, but is removing, pressing and reaming the bearings something that I can do myself? Or is the investment in tools and/or lack of experience beyond doing the repair on my own? I have no problem with bringing work to an expert, but if it's possible, I sure would like to do it myself. Thanks again, Dan
