Torque Setting - Cam Chest Screws

#1

Post by steve_wood »

Anybody know?

I'm guessing that the critical factor is the strength of the aluminum casing - not the actual screws.

Anybody?

I've never seen a figure in a manual pre Evo,to be honest I've always done all types by feel.
If it's any help, the figure for the Evo is 80-110 INCH/POUNDS.

Please note that's INCH/POUNDS.

Same here---Always by feel & start in middle & work your way around in a circle, going up then lower ,then upper, etc.,A EVO is probably more then you would go on a pan. After your first heat-cycle go over them again & youll get another 1/4-turn--that should do ya!---Richie 8)

Thanks guys. I did them up to 100 inch-pounds and it didn't feel close to over stressing. I'll check them again after the next ride.
