Lifter question: solid of hydraulic

#1

Post by Aphelion »

I recently bought a 60 FLH. Just doing some basic maintenance and had a question (maybe a dumb one), but how do I tell whether I have solid of hydraulic lifter?

-Thanks

Aphelion:

Take out the removable push rod cover (carefully). Now lift up the bottom of the push rod cover to reveal your lifters. Compare to the attached photos. Notice how the solids are very plain?
