List,
I have been searching for a RH case for my 56 (to no avail) but did get some interesting feedback from Carl Olsen (Carl's Cycle Supply).
He said that since the cases won't match anyway, I should mate a 58-62 RH case to my 56 LH case, its a better design.
In Palmer's book it describes the differences in RH cases between the 55-57 and the 58-62 and I 'm ok with most everything except where he states that the top of the rear motor mount is milled for the voltage regulator. Can anyone tell me how the outside of the 58-62 case looks different from the 55-57 case in the rear motor mount area? Oh and please speak up if you have a RH case you would be willing to part with.
Thanks!
1958-1962 right case

Not an expert here, but the cases will bolt together.
The problem is the flywheels.
The sprocket shaft taper may be different from your to the later
timken bearing. That's an easy fix.
Just get an later flywheel and sprocket shaft.
Have seen this done with with Pan and Knuck cases to early Shovel alternator left side.
