what kind of engine oils and grades of oils do you guys put in your pans.

Good 'ol Harley-Davidson 60 wt. Change it every 1,000 miles and the filter every 3,000 miles. AMF/Ride Safe

Forgot to add in last post: It gets a bit warm here in Florida so I also
run a Lockhart oil cooler. The best thing I every bought for the bike in
my opinion. For the tranny I use 90 wt. gear lube. AMF/Ride Safe

Amsoil 60# synthetic racing oil and 70-90 # synthetic gear lube for the tranny ( it has Moble 1 in there now ,but I also use Valvoline,not picky )

kendall 50 wt. summertime, when i can find it. or rev tec 20w/50 in the fall and spring.

Like Fourthgear, I use Amsoil 60# synthetic oil and Amsoil 70-90# synthetic gear lube in the tranny. I switched to the Amsoil with about 5K miles on a rebuilt engine, and didn't experience any significant additional oil leaking/weeping. I believe the motor runs more quietly, and is smoother, and more than likely it runs cooler. Of course my belief is purely subjective - just the feeling I get.

harley davidson 60 wt. 1959 panhead. thinking of switching to syn. everybody that use's it say it runs smoother and cooler. and when disassembled hardly any ware.
