Re: 63 OS oiler case fitting
Thanks, guys but nothing shows up for that fitting...my heads have fittings similar to the shovelhead oil lines,if not the same, but are straight fittings..I am assuming that the case fitting is a 90...

Hi Ron, it's in the 58-68 book, just well hidden.nmaineron wrote:Thanks, guys but nothing shows up for that fitting....
#63542-63 Elbow, rocker arm oil line (on crank case). 63-65 FL, FLH
Looks like Tedds V-Twin has them... Hey, how can they screw up a brass elbow?

I went to ace hardware and found one that looks like and works like the real McCoy

Re: 63 OS oiler case fitting
Thanks,it's funny cause I have the MOCO genuine service manual for 59-69 and I don't have that pic but I do have in the cylinder head section a pic of the line like your pic shows but no fitting

Re: 63 OS oiler case fitting
His picture is in the parts book, not service manual.
The original fitting is cad plated, has flat sides, 1/8 NPT for the case side and compression fitting on the other. I used to have some NOS ones but they are all gone.

Re: 63 OS oiler case fitting
The assembly uses 3 #63529-57 Sleeve, oil line and 3 #63527-57 Nut, oil line. The sleeves are rubber, the same as used on later shovels. Items 63 and 62 on the pic I posted earlier. My guess is you can still get the sleeves at a dealership. This package dated 2012.
