HES full flow pinion bushing

#1

Post by daddy-o »

Has anybody ever used a full flow pinion bushing? I think they were manufactured by HES in So Calif. all they had was a groove cut in the pinion shaft bushing so that rather than oil being pumped into the pinion shaft once every revolution, the bottom end would get oil full time. Would there be any problem in running this system with a cast iron pump or would it require a larger volume pump, ie, aftermarket? I'd be interested in Jack Hester and Cotton's answers.

My question is, would the increased oil supply to the pinion shaft result in a decreased supply to the top end?

Aargh....I typed a long dissertation yesterday, but somehow failed to post it.

You want as few worms in the can as possible,... why add any?
