Re: seat tool
Jiggs!
I regret the idea, now that it has become apparent that select pump bodies can be damaged.
The practice can only be safely approached with a disassembled body in hand.
And a borescope doesn't hurt.
Liberty no longer offers the service of making the tools to order,
however we will accept well-scrubbed bodies for bench service.
The task varies with castings, and some require several grinding steps.
I appreciate everyone's indulgence while I investigated the possibilities.
The knowledge gained was not cheap.

It is quite likely that the pumps damaged by burnishing had been previously abused by a drift.
The "cast iron" of the pumps can range from 'muddy' to 'brittle', and each one must be treated accordingly.
