1948 panhead/shovel

I am running a 1948 panhead right hand case and a late shovel left hand case. They have been matched together by the previous owner. Question is I think I will have to run solid lifters instead of hydraulic because of the oil flow. is that correct ? thanks for your help.

Unless you want to do more work than the job is worth run solids!Are you running a shovel top or a pan?

Should work out fine.I have built a lot of parts engines like this and always had good results.Whereabouts in FL are you? I am in the daytona beach area.
