pushrod and hydraulic lifter question

Just to confirm my pushrods are correct, One of the 4 is slightly longer, which should be the front exhaust. They have a .275 thread diameter and 32 threads per inch. One pushrod turn is about .030 HD shop manual says from "no shake or slack" go 4 turns. So you are compressing the piston in hydraulic lifter about .120 Good so far? Thanks, Gary

For your '60, all stock pushrods are 17905-53B; in other words all the same length at about 8.75 in. Do not know stock thread, and that would be key at this point for you since your rods, or at least one of them is not stock. The method is correct.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I'm using shovelhead logic that the longest pushrod goes to the front exhaust. I should probably pick up a set because these are getting quite knarfed, as Cotton would say. Gary
