Depends. factory originals are an interference fit and were not intended to be removed. After folks remove them the holes tend to be slightly oversize. If using aftermarket studs the clearance is even greater than spec, so for safety sake the best would be red if you don't intend to remove them again. If you insist on taking them in and out use blue!

They probably wont come out with red, with loctite you would go by the size of the bolt to determine what strength to use, You would not use red on a 1/4 inch bolt, but 3/8 and up red is ok, there is also green as well.

Red or green or whatever goober doesn't matter much,
but by all means, keep it off of the nut threads.

Green is also forever if you put it on base studs. And I would never put it on steel studs into aluminum. If you ever have to take them out, theyll take the threads with them.

Hog54!

A propane torch solves that problem, no matter what color of saccharin you choose.

Why would you wish to remove them?

Cad plateing?

I've never been afraid of Loktite, like stated above a little heat will do the trick. I also like a tee handle wrench when pulling or installing studs.
