Super E leaking fuel into mannifold
I have a super E carb that was working great until I put it back on after a mannifold leak repair. It seems that fuel will drain into the mannifold, enough that I can poor it out by leaning the bike over! The petcock is always closed and my clear fuel filter will be drained down a bit if I let it sit over night. I have checked and rechecked everything on this carb: needle and seat, float, jets etc and it is still doing it. Anyone with any ideas? Oh I almost forgot, the carb has 360 miles on it. Thanks in advance

Well, it pretty much has to be the needle/seat assembly or the float. How did you test the needle/seat? How did you test the float? It would take some time, but you could order new parts.
Sorry I can't be more helpful than that....

Jank1331!
No carb valve should ever be expected to do the job of the petcock.

I also have a super E on my pan and have had issues with the needle valve leaking. Was never able to find the problem. I just shut off my petcock 4 blocks from where I'm going to stop so the level in the float bowl goes down, no problems with overflowing. cc

Good morning .... did you check the float level ? also take into consideration extended forks or a kickstand that has seen better days. What I mean is how far over center does your bike lean when on the stand .. gravity is an amazing power.. try blocking yur scoot to set level over night and see if you still have the same problem.

Good grief guys,
Try fixing the the petcocks first, and the floatvalves will fix themselves; The gas has got to come from somewhere!
(Some of us just put one in the line, when the original gives up.)
