flat spot
I havent been on here in awhile i been rideing the 61 i have linkert carb. on it i have one of cotten foat on it when giving gas between 1&2 gear I get a flate spot in the then i back off it and it run fun i have the float set at a 1/4in. is this the way the carb run

Have you thoroughly bubble-tested your manifold assembly?
If it passes, then we can go on to other concerns.
