Linkert throttle disk and choke disk screws and washers

#1

Post by panhead_kicker »

Can anyone tell me if the 993W screws for Linkert throttle disk and choke disk are round head or a fillister? I've seen "both" but don't know if one or the other is wrong. Also do the screws have washers, and if so do they have a part #?
This is really splitting hairs for me, but this bugs me.

PK!

I am not certain when the change from filister to round head occurred, but I lean towards the early 60's.

And yes, each had its own common #6 lockwasher.
Stainless lasts longer.

Thanks Cotten,
Just a guess, but since my parts book calls the screw a round head for 64 and earlier and then I found the the same part # screw called filister for the 66 up air cleaner, then it seems it may have changed from round head, not to? No matter. Thanks for the info. I now have washers to put things right.
