dialing in linkert

#1

Post by razzle51 »

i am real close to having this where i want it butttttt, starts good ,idles good ,runs through the gears good. running along bout 65 let off throttle and get back into it it wants to crap somewhat, not pop through the carb, but acts like its loading -up.should i lean up the high side another click or two or the low side. just how much differernce can a click or two make. got home and pulled the plugs, both have a nice tan apperance. just where does the low speed stop and the high speed take over. got the intake tester from mike and yes did have a bad one. replaced both and put on good wrap within clamps, finger tight and then snugged up about 2 turns each. i am open for suggestions please, thanks -dick

Dick!

If "wrap" means some sort of tape, my suggestion is remove it and clean away any adhesive thoroughly.

Good luck,

by wrap around i mean the clamp itself. it wraps within itself like a hose clamp. had the grooved clamps on before and i think it cut the o-ring so i thought i would try these-dick

Dear Dick,

Did you bubble test after you put it back together? Did you bubble test the pan cover screws above the clamps? Sometimes they get poked into the port.
