another dumb question for the Linkert experts
Putting the carb (M-74B) together today and tried this. I blew into the place where the "idle hole body plug" pt. 33 goes, with my finger over the keyhole shaped port in the bore of the carb. With the low speed needle is screwed in all the way I hear air escaping inside somewhere. With the needle in all the way doesn't it shut the gas off to the idle port? Or is there a vent somewhere in the circuit? Thanks, Gary

Bingo, you're a winner...Or is there a vent somewhere in the circuit? Thanks, Gary
The circuit is tied to the venturi vent to allow fuel to be drawn in when the throttle disc is closed, otherwise there is no draw...

RUBONE, Makes sense. Without it the fuel would have a harder time moving. Guess I could have tried this before the venturi, choke, and throttle was in place. Maybe I don't have enough fingers either. Thanks for another learning experience. Gary
