Scoot Boot for 1965
G'day
Does anyone know.
When was the scootboot first offered by the MoCo,
Was the trunk/boot in the 65 accessory catalogue.
I got one but I know it came of a mate's 68.
That question mark key won't bloody work.
Don't spill coffee in your keyboard. It screws with it.
thanks
Pete

Definitely not a 65 accessory option. Have the 65 catalog and it does not appear. Not sure what year they appeared for the jenny shovel. Obviously can be fitted to a 65 pan or a swingarm pan with the correct luggage rack.
Bosheff...'boot' is slang for a trunk, what we call a luggage carrier. Down under terminology is scootboot.

Good reply Mr. Bosheff!
1969 Harley Accessory Catalog, page 17, part# 53300-69. Sold for $55.00. Everyone should be required to own one. The last one I bought, about 10 years ago had an old Harley riders cap in it. The cap had tour pins on it from the '30's to the '50's. Great find!!!!!

Panacea,
No head. But the old man that owned the tour-box, wouldn't sell me the hat! He gave me the tour-box and sold me a 1960 Pan. Old boy died, and I never did get that hat! The look on his face when we opened that tour-box and he saw that hat was priceless! Said he had looked for it for 20 years. Thought it was long gone.
