6 volt battery for a Panhead

#1

Post by thepigstye »

Who sells a empty 6 volt battery case and cover that will fit teh stock oil tank? I got a magneto , so I don't need a battery, but I also am installing a stock solo seat and the bike's gonna look aweful bare in that area. I can use the empty battery case for a tool box. If no one sells a new case, does anyone have an old 6 volt battery that won't hold a charge anymore that they would sell or trade. Got to have the bike finished by 15 Sept.

pigstye, theres a fellow that has some made up over at the american iron forum. he sold some guys over there a few but it was to put sealed battrees inside the case. its a real nice product. there may be other places to purchase empty cases but im not aware of them. do a search on that forum.

I was please to speak again with Geoff at D-port!

Along with an earliermodel, Geoff has reproduced the OEM "Richardson" battery, as a case with modern insert,... immaculately!

I only know this because I found his "pattern" for the project in an alley a few blocks from my house.
It had never split from freezing.
