55 tailight lens

does anybody know if 1955 pan tailight lens was glass and if so what is the correct writing inbeded on the glass ? there are a few glass lens on ebay one repop and few others trying to see what was correct for 55

my understanding is that very early '55 was glass the rest were plastic. old dude sells very nice replicas.

i'll see if i have a pic of the plastic one.

I don't think a 55 with a frame stamped C5 would be an early 55.

the one i had (traded it) was blank.

the plastic one is marked RH-55 and has "guidex" in very small script.

UPSROD I don't think i said C-5 was a early frame I was just showing danny what a date code looks like, thats from my 55 straight leg frame march of 1955

yes! and that may be the one you want. i think the second ebay one (possibly both) you posted may be for a chevy panel truck.

i have two lenses both plastic only difference is the SAE-ST marking
