1960 throttle coil routing

#1

Post by keiser »

Palmer's book has 2 sections discussing stock coil routing for throttle and timer. One says the throttle goes around the right side of the fork for 49 up and the other says it goes around the left side of the fork for 49 and up. Both say the timer goes on the left side of the fork. I have some original factory photos but it is really hard to tell. I think it looks like both coils route on the left side of the fork.

Anybody know which is right?

Around the right and under the tank and a u-turn into the bracket. The breaker comes down the left and is pined by the frame clamp. Hope this helps, Bob L

Got the clip. Just wasn't sure about the right or left side of the fork.

Thanks again.
