What type of socket (bulb) is used in the original DH49 guide lights? Can I get these from an auto parts store, like napa?

Perfect, thanks for the response. Just looking for the socket, 1129 or 1156, that's what I was after.

Okay, I'm confused. Where I come from, a bulb is the thing that makes the light, and the socket is what the bulb is held by, and an 1156 is a single filament 12 volt bulb. Which are we talking about here?

Regards,
John

I needed to know that an 1156 is the correct "socket" for that light. I don't care which bulb it is as long as I have the right socket. 1129 is for 6 volt and 1156 is for 12 volt. I didn't know either and that's why I asked. I'm not using the bulb, ust the socket from the light.
