1998 Road King Classic
6 volt to 12 volt wiring diagram
I'm rewiring my 51 panhead which was converted to 12volt. I believe the generator has a built in regulator. My wiring harness is setup for 6volt. Does anyone have a diagram they can show me the conversion.

Check out the Harley manual, you do have a copy of the "bible" don't you?
Wiring could care less what volts run through it. It's the amps that matter, to many and the wire to small
will create heat. Is your scoot a custom or original? Either way I'd stay 12 volt. Brighter lights and bulbs easier to find. Just my 0.02 worth.
