quick wiring question
so got the bike wired up today its pretty simple wiring headlight taillight with a brake switch and kick only so it all works except when i hit the brake pedal to test the brake light it blows the fuse so would the switch be shorting somewhere? could it be from the wires connected to the switch hitting the frame causing it? sorry if this doesn't make sense and I'm no wiring expert so anything tips help thanks

Re: quick wiring question
Sounds like you've got a short somewhere between brake switch and stop light bulb, maybe even at the bulb holder.

Re: quick wiring question
Is there a grommet where the wires go through the rear fender? If not, that could be a problem area. Also, wire could get pinched at the fender hinge, or where it comes out of or goes into the terminal box. Otherwise, disconnect each wire in the stoplight circuit and check them for a ground with an ohm meter.

Re: quick wiring question
At the brake switch, is the terminal touching the body of the switch? Easily done.

Re: quick wiring question
Disconnect the 2 wires at the brake light switch and connect the 2 wires together.
If the brake light comes on and the fuse doesn't blow, then the problem is in the brake light switch or one of your connections at the brake light switch.
