Rebuilt engine sitting for a while
If I had a pan engine that was fully rebuilt and then I didn't get a chance to use it for say 6 months to a year, what needs to be done before getting it running? Is there anything that I can do while it is sitting to keep the internals ok? Thanks.

Re: Rebuilt engine sitting for a while
Can't speak for your builder, but mine used assembly lube and assured me it would be OK to sit, which it did for 5 YEARS (not proud of that). Occasionally I would crank it over by hand a couple times while it sat on my bench (my shop is dry and heated). Fired right up, no problem. There may be preventative measures you can take, and if someone suggests them, in hindsight I would protect your investment and give them a try, but I did virtually nothing and everything worked out fine for me.
