front brake drum cleanup?
My front brake drum has a little surface rust inside and I want to clean it up before installation. I was thinking of just bead blasting it and then spraying it. Is there any problems with this or is there a better method Im not thinking of? Thanks.

kehughes!
Works for me.
Although I use aluminum oxide to etch out the deeper corrosion.
And finally wheel-brush the machined area thoroughly.
Then I Glyptal the un-machined area, because I saw it in NOS drums.
Turning the drum should be avoided if at all possible, as oversize shoes or linings are additional grief.
