Brake hose differences
Can someone tell me the difference between a 1958-62 rear brake hose and a 1963-72 brake line hose. Mine needs replaced and not sure which one to order.

Re: Brake hose differences
I believe the later version has the swivel fitting as part of the hose and the earlier one the swivel fitting is separate and has the hose fitting that attaches to the swivel , like mine is, 58 frame.

Re: Brake hose differences
63 - 72 had a larger wheel brake cylinder, brake pads and brake drum , I think the swivel attachment screw( bolts it to the wheel cyl. ) are all the same size. If I had to get another one I would get the later mod. hose, just one less connection to fail or leak. Mine is a S/S braided hose and they had some kind of plumbing fitting on there and I changed to the OEM swivel , since I had the hose line in good shape ( like new ).
