Rocker binding

#1

Post by sixball »

I put together a set of rockers form my STD pan heads, they are all original HD. I got them all on and tightened them down, and 3 are perfect, move free, no excessive shake etc... The other when tightened down, won't budge. I took it off and when you take a side view of it, the actual block in one corner has a gap in-between the cover. So when the top is bolted to the rocker block, it binds. What's the fix? Or do I need a new rocker?

It sounds like the rocker blocks need to be bored/reamed to size.

When mine were doing that, a local shop honed them to size. We just clamped them in a vice and honed till he felt it moved right.
