49 Pan Rocker Cover Question
Finally got the original heads for my 49 EL redone. Looking at Palmers he talks about the round head screws for the covers.
Looking at the parts book it shows #2675 for screws and #7021 for washers. Looking for x-refernece on back pages and there is no #2675 for screws, only #2672 (10-24x1/2)
round head screw.
NOS Parts has the #2672 in parkerized finish and #7021 washers in either zinc or parkerized finish.
Old Dude does not carry either parts.
So my question please....is the correct screw the #2672? or am I looking for the elusive #2675 that has no listing in the back of the parts book? If so what is the correct size for the #2675 screw and where in the heck do I find them?
What is the correct finish I need for the #7021 washers? Zinc or Parkerized?

Re: 49 Pan Rocker Cover Question
I took some photos at the HD museum, I can't seem to upload them.... They look like plain old 10/24 round head screws that you can get at the hardware store... I'm sure colony is not much different, Thats what I did..I guess you could replate them, left mine zinc. But I'm OK with That, Adam

Not unless I missed it. Colony list original hardware 48-65 for pan covers but they are incorrect. 49 uses neither steel nor aluminum D-ring, just the round head screw and I assume a washer.Hog54 wrote:Colony has them.

Re: 49 Pan Rocker Cover Question
If you notice they hang past the bottom of the lip of the head a little, I got mine from wurth, they supply the shop with product and hardware. I think you can get them at the hardware store and just replate them in cad. Good luck, glad that helped. Adam

Re: 49 Pan Rocker Cover Question
The correct screws are #2675 10-24 x 7/16 recessed round head screw; lock washers are #10 x 21/64 x 3/64. Correct finish is cad and best of all found them at Old Dude. The screws are not listed on their site, but a member on another forum suggested I give them a call and it worked.
