Timer control wire routing

Description: What is proper routing?

Hi all:

Still getting the 64 back together. Could use advice on proper routing of the timer control coil. Since I got the bike, it has been getting caught between the frame and tree stop. What is proper routing? On the front frame guard mount there is a tapped hole. Should there be a clip there? Does it route between the front frame rails or around the left down tubel, between the head and frame, then down to the clamp? Should there be a clamp around a frame rail? I can't tell from the parts book. I appreciate all the advise I've gotten so far! Thanks!

The control coil goes around the left down tube and there should be a securing clip screwed into that tapped hole. It's the same type of clip that holds the throttle coil under the gas tanks.
My timer control coil also gets trapped on full lock!
