Fender width?

Hi all,

Back with yet another idiotic queston or two.

From the beginning of the swingarm frames, is the width of the rear fenders unchanged?

And if yes, no change to the width.. how wide are they?

2, What is the eye to eye center length of the rear shocks, and what is the OD of the upper and lower shock mounting studs?

Looking on ebay for cheap parts.....and they don't have to be original parts for my 58........ ( just the frame & swingarm, engine, transmission, tanks, and front end are ).

Anything else can be whatever fits, and looks OK to me.

Got a place that I will be visiting when wife and I visit Portland Oregon this November that's a 'motorcycle junkyard".

So I gotta visit that place and I would like to be somewhat informed.

George, 58-64 fenders are get super hard to find. I came up with a solution. First you get a 65 and up fender. Now ya got to get rid of that nasty battery dent. It takes me about ten minutes on my English Wheel to roll that out to the point where you don't even need Bondo. I got a OEM one here I'll let ya have for $150.00. The fender width never changed. Bob

Did you mean "Western Cycle Salvage"? If so then save the trip. They went out of business late last year and the inventory was hauled to the crushers.

I do miss the place and haven't found others like that yet nearer than Idaho or Montana.

Not sure of the name of the place......I have only seen the location twice, when visiting this past May,,,

Near a place called Precision Casting Corp, Johnson Creek Blvd. in the direction of 82nd Ave.

All I remember about the place, was going to stop in when we were there last time, but time did not allow me to, but I won't be so busy there this visit in Nov.

The transmission I got will be on its way to Portland shortly, can't wait till Nov!
