Inner primary differences

It is .530" from the crankcase lip to the three holes that secure the inner primary for 53.
This means the inner primary has a lip that is at least .530" deep (or more) that hides inside the crankcase lip.
Can someone confirm that the lip for 55-57 is much less, more like .225"?
Also hand shift has a splash shield, foot shift does not, correct?

Photo is 58-63, correct?
And a link for Perry's excellent info, http://www.ruiter.ca/mc/info/palmer/55-64primary.html
