Oil Bag Color?

#1

Post by 62wild1 »

Finally after 5 years I'm getting ready to finish her up. Only question is what color is the oil bag supposed to be? Gloss black or semigloss black...................................Hopefully I did the right stuff with the rest of the bike. Had a heck of a time bleeding the rear brake system.

Here is a shot of the HD Museum 56 FL. It looks fairly glossy to me, but not a high gloss.

Thanks for the pic. It looks like a standard gloss paint to me. I'll try a rattle can first and see how it turns out unless I can find a body shop to shoot it for me fairly cheap.

Well I went with the VHT Satin Black epoxy and it turned out pretty good. Not a lot of glare and it looks like it should be there. It was self priming and went on smooth to my surprise. I believe I'll start using VHT on more parts with the ease of spraying. I think there are about 14 different shades of black out there..................................
