Hello everyone ! I'm having difficulty finding any info as to what bolt / fasteners mount the very front part of the rigid rear fender to the frame tab just below the transmission mount ? The frame & fender holes look to be 3/8". I can't find any indication of it in any of my parts books. Please help !
Thank you,
Dusty Dave

Robbie got you pointed in the right direction, now he's going to make you go back to the Spare Parts Catalog and look up those fasteners to find out what diameter, thread pitch, and length they are.

Re: 1955 rigid rear fender mount
The bolt you are asking about has a bevel head that sits flush with the reinforcing plate inside the fender. You can buy the whole fender mounting kit from colony in about any finish you want or just find a bevel headed bolt at the hardware store.

Dusty Dave,
Part# 2404 5/16"-24 x 27/32" oval countersunk screw, parkerized finish
I picked up a few of them on Friday from Colony, so I know they have them in stock.
Uses a lockwasher part#7040, and nut part#7752.
Use the same fastener combination for the 2 countersunk holes directly above the lower fender mount where the oil tank mounting plate bracket attaches. So all together, you need 3 of them.
