Post by white1j0 »

Anyone know what year fender has this hole pattern for the front trim, I was told it came off a '57 pan, I bought a fender tip for it and the pattern isn't even close, it's hard to find pictures up close of old sheet metal, any imfo would be appreciated, Thanks Whitey

Whity---I just looked at my old trim & it is 2 holes over each other., Im gonna take a shot & say--Are you sure about the year? The last bike I nstalled a fender with the upper 3rd hole, the hole was to hold a grommlet for a wire to a running light!, on the bottom rear of the fender do the holes line-up for the ribbed cover that wraps around & do the side trim pieces line-up also?----Richie

The fender has two sets of holes on the side and three on the top front for a fender light, also has a hole pattern on the rear for wrap-around trim, which is for a wider trim I imagine because the rear trim I just bought is not as wide as the hole pattern, it also has the early fender mounting brackets. Question is does anyone know what year this came off of, Thanks Whitey

It's a V-Twin fender. Rivets are smaller than stock, and that recessed hole on the fender nose isn't right.

Also, the bracket for bolting to the forks is a later style.
