Early pan outer primary

Post by earlypan »

I've only had early pans (48-52) and was wondering if you could use that style outer primary on the later pans of the 60's? If not, could you please let me know what the issues are. Thanks.

Well if you have a compensating sprocket on the engine,it will hit the front of the primary. If you look at the difference between the early and late outer primarys, the late ones are deeper up front to clear the compensating sprocket.
