I have a couple of oil tanks that need repaired. I've been looking at some oil tank rear mount repair tabs and have found there are a few different ones to choose from. I've never bought any of these and was wondering which ones were the best, most original-like. Anyone with some hands on experience that would recommend some? I do want original looking.
where to get them would also be appreciated. Thanks

Vtwin has repair tabs, 51-0516.
Using the original bolt and spring prolongs the tabs life.

There all the same rice-gobbling garbage. Pick you poison. What matters here is who you have installing them. Theres a right way and a wrong way. If you try doing this a home with one of those cheap mig units, you will blow a hole right though the tank. Bob L

Re: Oil tank repair tabs?
ke,
I made my own repair tabs using thicker gauge, the shape is the same but they don't have the indents.
Robert,
When you say "cheap" do you mean furrin mig welders (not Lincoln/Miller) or tig is better then mig?
