drop frame
hi i have a 57 pan on a 58-64 drop post frame to accomodate a swing arm. what is the difference ,for a 58-64 stock frame?

If I understand correctly you are asking if the 57 engine will fit the 58-64 frame? If so the answer is "yes".

Your question is very vague so it is hard to tell what you are asking! There is only one type of '58-'64 frame which is designed to use the horseshoe oil tank. Any Panhead or Shovelhead engine is a direct fit. Any Knuckle or Big Flathead fits with a front motor mount spacer. All '65 and later frames are taller in the seat area, hence no DROP. They are designed to accommodate the electric starter with the square oil tank and big battery. Again, any Panhead or shovelhead is a direct fit.
'57 and earlier frames are all rigid.
