rear cross over ..how long?

hey guys, i just got a 52 frame and the cross over was cut down in size..can someone please help..can you go out to your garage and measure how long that outside pipe shaft is from end to end, and from the right side to the center of the grease fitting....this is my first post.please help...and carfull ridin...thankx to all...

Casting + pipe = 8.5"

so just the pipe it-self is 8 1/2 " with no shaft in it ...correct?.. i still need to know how far in on center is the grease fitting?... i do thank any and all responses........ride,,wrench,,repete...

My '52 frame also measures 8-1/2" end to end with the crossover shaft removed.
I get 2-11/16" from the right side, inboard to the center of the grease zerk hole.

52-Gonzo!---Make sure when shaft is installed it has no SIDE to side play!--You will find that the pedal side & rod going to rearbrake Have side pull on them!--This is where they wear-out!--Put bushings in if play is .020 or more!,-& usualy its more!---Also do not over grease the shaft!--If installing -you already have it greased by hand!--So Check on it from time to time-& you will see the crud build-up on both ends!--Wipe Clean & usually 1 to 2-pumps is all that nessesary!.---Respectfully---RICHIE 8)

hey richie, thanx...that will help alot....i realy do want anybodys in-put on the rear brake ...my buddy ownes a antique bike shop in town and is puttin together all the parts that i need, .with out his help i'd be skrewed..also i am looking for blue prints on the 52 wishbone frame...the one for sale on ebay are very hard to read, { blurry}.. and there were some in a chopper book, but those don't have measurement's for floorboard tabs or tool box ....any info please help....again thanx to all..........safe ridin....52 gonzo...
