Neck lock question?

#1

Post by Hog54 »

I replaced the cylinder that the lock sits in on the neck on my buddys bike cause it was all broken off when whoever removed the lock, but the cylinder has no pin hole. How do I measure where the cylinder pin hole goes and is it in a angle?

You are going to have to remove the paint in the area of the hole for the pin!---After that all will come to light to you as you inspect it!--It does go n at a slight angle (pretty-sure). If the front end has been changed the lock wont work without the groove. There are others here that can further help you in this area!--Im just telling you what I have ran accross in the past!--RUBONE is a wealth of info on anything odd or vintage Iron stuff!, Others to as well!---Good-luck & you should find all you need in the service manual!---Richie PANHEAD left the info right there!
