Right above the frt cyl. of my 59 pan frame there is a little tab hanging down with a hole in it .I think its for the throttle cable but if it is I forget how it goes. Anyone ?

If I'm not mistaken the throttle cable goes through the middle of the frame
between the tanks. The tab is for the timer advance cable and there is
a clip and screw that holds the cable to this tab.

It is for the throttle cable. James, your thinking of the tab on the left hand down tube which is for the advance. Bob L
