Even though I've got my Clymer and all - I'm not exactly where to measure the spring preload on a 56' Panhead?
This is properly because english is not my mothertonque....
Pics anyone?

Throw the Clymer away and download the factory manual from the library of this web site.
Are you referring to the pressure plate springs, or the mousetrap spring? There have been recent threads on both with good information.
