Re: mouse ttrap cable
what is your total length of the outer sheath of your cable?
i'll run out and measure a couple of mine... i think there is only one "oem stock" size.

Re: mouse ttrap cable
The issue here is difference between the inner cable and the outer sheath length. With a difference of 5 1/2", adjustment should be achievable. 5 1/2" is a number I came up with after taking measurements from 2 different cables, both of which I have used, and both which produced desired adjustment....bosheff

Okay, I apologize in advance for some stupid questions, but maybe it will help.
- Is the clutch actuator arm set to 4.25" from the shifter drum?
- Is the slack in the rod that connects the mousetrap to the actuator arm set to 1/16 inch?

Re: mouse ttrap cable
When making the adjustment you are talkin bout between the clutch release arm and the rod linking the mousetrap to the release arm, all you are trying to do is make sure the release arm is in the fully returned (disengaged) position. Bring the clutch lever rod (link from trap to release arm) to the point where it fully seated with no slack, and back off maybe 1/4 turn. The more slack you have between these two parts, the less travel you will have when disengaging the clutch....bosheff
