How much grease on clutch hub roller retainer?

#1

Post by mcraeav »

I am getting ready to put the clutch back on my 62 and don't know how much grease I should put on the clutch hub roller retainer to hold the rollers in place. Is grease bad for this dry clutch?

Mark!

Fortunately,
modern disc brake greases do not melt and flow, so you can be generous in this particular application.

You need only be careful to avoid the narrow lining on the hub itself.

A modern retainer like a "Tamer" helps, and is desirable for other reasons as well.
