Can anyone help? My foot clutch rotates to vertical while riding, I can't find a stop for it,what should stop it?

It sounds like your clutch springs are shot, but that's another matter.

There are two basic "stops".

One is the footboard.
The other is a pin located on a hole in the pedal below the stud for the clutchrod. It extends inward to limit travel between the two "lips" or turned out edges of the bracket (36842-41)
I have never seen it in the books, but my first Police Special came with one. It's great for keeping the primary chain from wearing out from excessive side travel.

Cheers for that, a pin should do the trick! For some reason the footboards do not stop the lever, they must be set too low, but thats a different problem.
