broken clutch cable

#1

Post by blewcrab »

out yesterday for a short ride when my clutch cable broke ! made it home without stopping and shifting without the clutch..I immediately started to remove the broken cable when I realized I didn't have the snap ring removal tool to remove cable end from the mouse trap . I called my buddy Dean [ also a member of this forum ] .he came over with the tool and his spare cable . we used his cable and tool and I was back on the road in about 1 hr. Thanx again Dean !

The coolest thing about the clutch booster or mouse trap is you can still engauge the clutch !.. just reach down and give it a pull of course most guys dont have them adjusted correctly or even understand what it does.....why they got rid of it is a mistery .

The cause of many chipped front head fins....not the mouse traps fault, but the so called mechanic!
