clutch springs

is there a way to visually tell the difference between the 68 and up and 67 and lower clutch springs?

If you buy aftermarket springs they run from 41 to 84,so I doubt theres any difference.I do know you can get different tensions.I know before evos came out they didnt even ask what year the bike was when I bought clutch springs.

That's what I'm thinking HOG54. If the aftermarket springs are made for 68 and up ( non mousetrap ) specs , I think they may be too soft for use with a mouse trap.

Somebody may correct me but i believe the later springs are longer by 7-8 mm...

The late springs are longer, skinnier and weaker but will work with a mouse trap. Barnett makes the early and the late springs plus
some heavy duty, stiffer late style springs.
