34008-52 shifter cam
The shift cam pictured shows a notch worn into the groove just before the peak. Is this something that could be welded up and then ground back down to the proper contour? OR is it even a problem?

Without a side by side comparison it's hard to tell how much the drum has worn. I've run some pretty sloppy pieces over the years but never had a problem. If ya got the time and means, have at it. Keep in mind that the path in the drum is what untimately locates the shift clutches, so to much play will not be a good thing....bosheff
